Some smartphones featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 have already been launched in China, with many expecting a global release shortly after. A growing list of flagship smartphones are expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which was officially announced in late September 2025. The chipset is anticipated to power top-tier Android devices throughout late 2025 and 2026, with several phones already confirmed or heavily rumored. Users of the Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100 the most popular slate in 2011 is now getting its official Android 4.1.2 Jelly bean upgrade. Samsung has just started rolling the Jelly bean update and right now hitting in Spain. Samsung software updates rolls out in phases, so therefore other countries may also get this update sooner. The update as said packed in 4.1.2 and features some goodies which can be found on Samsung Galaxy S3 and Samsung Galaxy Note 2 like the "Touchwiz Nature UX". Some features like Google Now, including Direct Call, Smart Stay and Pop-up Play were also added. The only lack of the Premium Suite features is the "Multi-View function" which is not found in the newly added apps line-ups.


The firmware build number is JZO54K.I9100XWLS8 with a Baseband version I9100XXSL8.
Again, Spain's unbranded Samsung Galaxy S2 are the lucky ones to receives this update as of this moment, other countries will probably follow this couple of days. We are also hoping to see U.S. and Canada variants might also be able to get this update sooner. As of now, the software build is built for International Samsung Galaxy S2 only with specific model number GT-I9100.
