OTA 4.1.2 Jelly Bean VLBMA3 for Wind,Mobilicity and Videotron Galaxy Note 2 with Multi-View now live
Wind Mobile, Mobilicity and Videotron version of Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (with specific model number SGH-T889V) has just received its Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS upgrade. This 4.1.2 Jelly bean update is now live via OTA update (over the air) as of February 26, 2013. According to Samsung mobile Canada that this update includes the Multi-Window as well as Chinese language support. The featured Multi-Window will allow users to enjoy two apps runs at the same time (split screen running with apps. This is now announced via Samsung Mobile Canada Facebook page.
Some users has reported some issues since the 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update, this includes Wi-Fi connection.
Another issue is that the phone seems to heat up a lot faster after the update. Other users also reported of battery drain problem.
Samsung Mobile Canada has responded these users complaints by suggesting to perform a factory reset after an upgrade or if some issues encountered.
"We're sorry to hear you're having Wi-Fi issues since you've upgraded to Jelly Bean 4.1.2. If the problem persists after restarting, we suggest your perform a factory reset. Remember to back up any files you'd like to save. Let us know how things go!
So, for those who owns the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 either from Wind Mobile, Videotron and Mobilicity and hasn't received the OTA update notification yet. Just check it out on your Note 2, simply hit Menu >> Settings >> About device >> Software update >> Update.
This latest 4.1.2 update indicated new baseband version of T889VVLBMA3. Mobilesyrup also posted this firmware build info screenshots a while ago.
