High-End Android Phones Powered with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

Some smartphones featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 have already been launched in China, with many expecting a global release shortly after. A growing list of flagship smartphones are expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which was officially announced in late September 2025. The chipset is anticipated to power top-tier Android devices throughout late 2025 and 2026, with several phones already confirmed or heavily rumored. Xiaomi 17 series: The Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max were confirmed as the first phones to use this chip. Telus, Bell, Rogers, Sasktel Galaxy Note 2 Official 4.1.2 Jelly Bean Update I317MVLBMA3 is Out

In Canada, users of the Samsung Galaxy Note II SGH-I317M starts receiving the official Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update as of February 6. Earlier, we spotted the software build number JZO54K.I317MVLBMA3 or I317MVLBMA3 now loaded and made available thru Samsung Kies server and might probably will be also made available via OTA (over the air) too.


There are five specific builds of "MVLBMA3" which signifies for each of the Canadian Samsung Galaxy Note 2 variants and points to Bell, Roger, Telus and Sasktel, the other one which we can't figure out if it is for the unbranded or for Virgin mobile which has the CSC code of "VMC".

This 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update has been announced by Samsung and each Canadian network provider to arrive beginning this February 2013, but no one is telling the exact period of time.

As of February 2013, a new software version is available for the Samsung GALAXY Note™ II.
The release of software version 4.1.2 provides the following benefits and enhancements for your smartphone:
Production issues related to the sensors performance were addressed
Chinese Language package is added
NOTE: Google is releasing this update in stages. Your smartphone will receive a notification when this update becomes available to you.

Again, this update is for Samsung Galaxy Note II with model number SGH-I317M only, among other Canadian users of the Galaxy Note 2 which provided by Wind, Videotron and Mobilicity (model number SGH-T889V) is not yet available as of this moment.

The paint chipping issue reported by some Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 users appears to be a recurring problem that was also seen with the Z Fold 6. Despite users claiming they have not dropped their devices, paint delamination is occurring on the anodized aluminum body. Samsung’s support page for the Z Fold 6 suggests that poorly grounded third-party chargers can cause leakage currents, damaging the anodized finish and leading to paint chipping.
