Some smartphones featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 have already been launched in China, with many expecting a global release shortly after.  A growing list of flagship smartphones are expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which was officially announced in late September 2025. The chipset is anticipated to power top-tier Android devices throughout late 2025 and 2026, with several phones already confirmed or heavily rumored.  Xiaomi 17 series: The Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max were confirmed as the first phones to use this chip. AT&T Sony Xperia TL will now joins in the line-up of Android devices to run the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS. Sony has started rolling out the official 4.1.2 update earlier today. This said 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update brings some goodies to this Android camera phone with a new and improved camera app with "Superior Auto mode", not a burst mode, but it's added with HDR capability. There also some enhancement such as an improved UI and stabler Wi-Fi connection. A new designed home screen launcher and lock-screen  the extended battery mode option are just a few among pretty cool features added.
