U.S. folks who owned the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 by T-Mobile (SGH-T889) should now be happy for this latest official Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update. T-Mobile has just announced the latest software update with a new baseband version of T889UVBMB4 based on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean for its flagship the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 now goes live via OTA or Kies. This update now brings the awaited LTE capability and lot more added stuff that users may enjoy most of their device.
Again, this update is now rolling out via OTA (over the update) or using Kies on your computer. The device must not be rooted prior to get the 4.1.2 update, says T-Mobile.You can learn more about how to update your Galaxy Note 2 at T-Mobile's official support documentation. http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-4962
For those who have rooted and chances are you have a "modified" status on your phone which means you will not be able to get the update OTA. So, the only option is to unroot your device or install any pre-rooted stock ROM.
Update: I found some pages that you can manually update to 4.1.2 if your device is currently rooted and having issues updating via OTA. Just head over at XDA-developers or at Androidromupdate for the step by step procedures.
