How to Root Karbonn Smart Tab 8 and 10 inch

If you owned a Karbonn Smart Tab either 8 inch or the 10 inch and really wants to make some tweaks like root it, there is actually a root method that works for this tablet. Even though this tablets specifications doesn't that much attracts attentions to most aftermarket developers, but there is still someone who still wants to support it, so that advance users can enjoy most of this device.

Now, if you want to root your Karbonn Smart tablet 8 and the Karbonn Smart Tablet 10 just follow the simple steps below.  This root method will work both on these two tablets since both are powered with Dual-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A9, Mali 400 processor. The two tablets just only varies with the screen sizes 8-inches and 10-inches. It also both runs with Android Android OS, 4.1.1 Jelly Bean.

Root procedure: 


  • Grab the Crystal_Root.zip from here and copy it to a microSD card (do NOT extract it)
  • Re-charge the battery in your Crystal, Power Off and remove the charger cable.
  • Insert the microSD card into your Crystal
  • Press and and hold Volume Down and Power button to get into Recovery mode.
  • In the recovery, use the Volume Down button to toggle options, you can select with Power or Volume+
  • Select the apply update from EXT option
  • Select the Crystal_Root.zip, this will install the package
  • Wait for the update to finish
  • Select reboot system now
  • Done.


At this moment, there are also some tweaks added to the Karbonn Tab 8 and 10
 aside from rooting, you can also do such as Swapping External to Internal Memory, Lag-free Tweak and install TWRP recovery on this devices. ROMs are also available in-case for those who wanted a more unique experience on this tablets.
