High-End Android Phones Powered with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

Some smartphones featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 have already been launched in China, with many expecting a global release shortly after. A growing list of flagship smartphones are expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which was officially announced in late September 2025. The chipset is anticipated to power top-tier Android devices throughout late 2025 and 2026, with several phones already confirmed or heavily rumored. Xiaomi 17 series: The Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max were confirmed as the first phones to use this chip. LG Optimus 4X HD P880 Gets Official CM10.1 Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Goodies

The CyanogenMod team is now releasing the official CM10.1 nightlies build for LG Optimus 4X HD (P880), the release is part of  the team's expansions for LG's Android phones, after seeing the LG Optimus G E957 CM10.1 rolling few days earlier. This build is based on latest Android 4.2.2 Jelly bean and the official changelog seems targeting to improved Camera, Contacts, MMS, Bluetooth , Data Connection and Phone Settings.

So, for those who might want to give a try and install it on their LG Optimus 4X HD (P880), you can now grab the ROM file from CyanogenMod official website. It was rolled out  a day ago but it is now updated to fix some minor issues. You can download the CM10.1 for LG Optimus 4X here. You only need to install CWM recovery first before you can actually install this ROM including the Google Apps. The paint chipping issue reported by some Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 users appears to be a recurring problem that was also seen with the Z Fold 6. Despite users claiming they have not dropped their devices, paint delamination is occurring on the anodized aluminum body. Samsung’s support page for the Z Fold 6 suggests that poorly grounded third-party chargers can cause leakage currents, damaging the anodized finish and leading to paint chipping. This is why Samsung advises using only official chargers.
