Samsung and UK's Orange network has started pushing the official Jelly Bean software update on Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100P with NFC (near field communication) phones. The said software update with build numbers I9100PXXLSQ is currently live on Kies, according to Androidromupdate, "It's based on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and only available for UK Orange Galaxy S2 I9100P users for now". The Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100P which has the NFC built-in chip is mostly a carrier branded version compared to the original Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100. This phone first received its Jelly Bean upgrade earlier this month in Italy under TIM network. Some owners has been waiting for this update, and we also thought that Samsung has already forgotten this device, since the original Galaxy S2 GT-I9100 Jelly Bean update has been rolled out a few months ahead then this particular phone.
So, anyone from UK still got the Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100P at hand, you should see this update via Kies or OTA. Just grab the latest Kies from Samsung's site, your old Kies software might not worked for now since it's been a long time now before your Galaxy SII I9100P going to tastes this update. For OTA update, you may hit your device Settings>> About phone>> Check for software update.
