American owners of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 GT-P3113 and 10.1 GT-P5113 will now start to receive the official Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) update. Yes the update has automatically bump-up to 4.2.2 while skipping the 4.1.2, since the last update was in the form of Android 4.1.1. The upgrade comes in a firmware build numbers P5113UEUCMH2 from previous P5113UECLK7 for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 P5113 and P3113UECMH2 from previous build P3113UECLK7 on Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 P3113.

Here are the changelog of the 4.2.2 UECMH2 update:
- Move Apps to SD that allows user to move a selection of apps to the SD card.
- A smart screen that locks when you are not watching the display.
- Bigger icons and fonts
- Weather widget
- Transparent status bar on homescreen and lockscreen
- New wallpapers
- The device is not vulnerable to the master key bug.
- The clipboard bug is fixed.. for now.
- Offline charging indicator slightly changed (color)
- Some added apps (SPlanner/Calendar, Browser, Alarms, Gallery, Memo..) have new UI + New apps: Group Play, Paper artist, Help.
- Device does not overheat now (while multi-tasking/gaming or charging), comparing to the latest build.
- Battery icon in status bar changes color depending on percentage.
This update is currently rolling via Over the Air or by using Samsung Kies.
