Apple's two failed iPhones in 2025

The interest in the iPhone 17 series is high, particularly for the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max models, which are outselling their predecessors. The iPhone Air has a different tale to tell; sales haven't been great, with reports showing low demand and major production cuts.  In contrast to the heavily publicized flop of the iPhone Air, there hasn't been much info on how the iPhone 16e is doing in sales. Early reports suggested it was doing pretty well, but it seems that wasn't up to Apple's standards.  Sales of the iPhone 16e and iPhone Air aren't meeting Apple's expectations, as per info from leaker Fixed Focus Digital (source in Chinese). While no exact figures were shared, the leaker suggests that Apple's effort to launch a popular, budget-friendly iPhone hasn't succeeded. Xperia Z, Tablet Z, ZL and ZR Update to 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Build 10.3.1.A.0.244, AOSP Source Also Available

Sony has started releasing the 4.2.2 Jelly Bean software update on Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, XperiaTablet Z, and Xperia ZR to build version 10.3.1.A.0.244. The first rolled out has landed on Sony Xperia Z, Xperia ZL and Xperia ZR the second rolled out hitting Xperia Tablet Z LTE version, but the WiFi only variants should follow soon.


Those who missed this update should fire-up that PC Companion or through OTA. The open source build 10.3.1.A.0.244 for developers is now also available for download at Sony Mobile. Anyway, also watch out for the upcoming 4.3 update since the AOSP has now been seen running on the Xperia Tablet Z.
