High-End Android Phones Powered with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

Some smartphones featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 have already been launched in China, with many expecting a global release shortly after. A growing list of flagship smartphones are expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which was officially announced in late September 2025. The chipset is anticipated to power top-tier Android devices throughout late 2025 and 2026, with several phones already confirmed or heavily rumored. Xiaomi 17 series: The Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max were confirmed as the first phones to use this chip. Sprint Galaxy S5 Sport 4.4.2 G860PVPU1ANG2 Factory Stock Firmware

As Sprint has announced the availability of the new Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport starting July 25, well the stock firmware has already emerge and being dubbed with software build number G860PVPU1ANG2. Sprint Galaxy S5 Sport is named with model number SM-G860P so the firmware build starts with G860P and currently based on Android 4.4.2 KitKat.


So for those advance users and after-market developers this is your chance to get to get a sneak peak of what inside of the new GS5 Sport. Again, don't play the firmware unless you know where to and how to use a stock firmware. The stock firmware has been useful for future use , in-case someone might root the device and needs it for returning back the device to it's original default settings

The Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport is almost identical to the flagship Galaxy S5, which was introduced this year and it much likely the same to AT&T's Galaxy S5 Active.    In addition to these hardware specifications, it is also water and dust resistant. It includes the 5.1-inch 1920x1080 resolution AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB of RAM, 2800mAh battery.

The Sprint Galaxy S5 Sport also comes with Samsungs S Health app pre-installed. Sprint also launched a new feature for GS5 customers called Sprint Fit Live.The S Health app lets users access health information and map out workouts.  While the Sprint Fit Live will consolidate all the fitness information and apps that GS5 users are accessing on their device.

The paint chipping issue reported by some Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 users appears to be a recurring problem that was also seen with the Z Fold 6. Despite users claiming they have not dropped their devices, paint delamination is occurring on the anodized aluminum body. Samsung’s support page for the Z Fold 6 suggests that poorly grounded third-party chargers can cause leakage currents, damaging the anodized finish and leading to paint chipping.
