Recently, the US Patent and Trademark Office published a patent application from Samsung stating that the said manufacturer is at present working on a display that will more or less fold if desired without the fear of damaging the display.
With this news in mind, spectators definitely expect more of what this device can do. And in response, Samsung teases the public with its future smartphones featuring display that can be folded either backward or forward based in the patent provided. It enables the device to perform more convenient tasks like calendar and alarm clock displays that only foldable smartphones can execute.
However, the fact that Samsung is already working on the perfection of foldable phones doesn't imply that we can see foldable smartphones on display soon.
