Twitter for mobile announced this week an added feature, the new Audio Card, for iOS and Android users. The latest technology lets you of music streaming straight from the popular micro-blogging site itself.
The Audio Card enables you to listen to your favourite songs on Twitter without leaving the Twitter application. This is made possible with the embedded player that will play the linked piece of audio so you can go on without having further interruptions. You can go on browsing on your Twitter feed while enjoying music playing at the background. You just have to tap on the link to expose the Audio Card, then minimize it by simply pushing the Card to the bottom of your screen.

Reports say Twitter has plans to work with several third-party streaming services. As for the present, Audio Cards function only with SoundCloud. This partnership includes about 50 SoundCloud “partners” (i.e. Twitter users) that can add Audio Cards to their tweets. If you happen to be a fan of The NPR, NASA, and Glen Beck, as well as Deadmau5, Olly Murs, Coldplay, Neil deGrasse Tyson, White House, and David Guetta, you can count yourself lucky when you already have access to Audio Card.
