High-End Android Phones Powered with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

Some smartphones featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 have already been launched in China, with many expecting a global release shortly after. A growing list of flagship smartphones are expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which was officially announced in late September 2025. The chipset is anticipated to power top-tier Android devices throughout late 2025 and 2026, with several phones already confirmed or heavily rumored. Xiaomi 17 series: The Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max were confirmed as the first phones to use this chip. Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge International Shipped Stock Firmware Now Available

The Samsung Galaxy S6  and Galaxy S6 Edge for international versions with model numbers "SM-G920F"  and  "SM-G925F" shipped firmware is now available for grab. This is technically the stock firmware during the production of Samsung Galaxy S6  and Galaxy S6 Edge in Samsung's factories. The Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge first Android smartphone to have 64-bit Snapdragon 810 that supports 4G LTE Advanced Cat 6. And 2K UHD display, 4GB RAM with 20 megapixel rear camera and the front 5 megapixel HD cameras smartphone. Yet both the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge devices are on its way for shipping in various countries around the world, these firmwares are now held available  in Samsung's firmware server to which we can actually see it using Kies software update utility tools.

While sneaking around we have found several variations of Android 5.0.2 Lollipop firmware builds since the Galaxy S6 will arrive touting a brand-spanking new version of Android 5.0.2 Lollipop and some new TouchWiz software features. On Samsung Galaxy S6  G920F we have seen three different build numbers such as G920FXXU1AOBN, G920FXXU1AOCV and G920FXXU1AOD4. While on the other hand the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge SM-G925F we just found one firmware build floating around and dubbed with build number G925FXXU1AOCV.

Here are the list of countries and network providers we have found those Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge firmware builds that are about to be shipped out.

Samsung Updates its Flagship and Mid-Range Phones with the One UI 8 Beta

We've all been anticipating the release of the stable version of Samsung's One UI 8 beta program, which is based on Android 16. Paint On Galaxy Z Fold7 Phones Is Already Peeling Off, According To Consumers

The paint chipping issue reported by some Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 users appears to be a recurring problem that was also seen with the Z Fold 6. Despite users claiming they have not dropped their devices, paint delamination is occurring on the anodized aluminum body. Samsung’s support page for the Z Fold 6 suggests that poorly grounded third-party chargers can cause leakage currents, damaging the anodized finish and leading to paint chipping.
