Samsung is now releasing the Lollipop update on US Cellular Galaxy S5. The Lollipop update is dubbed with build number G900R4VXU1BOC1, which is base in Android 5.0 (LRX21T) can be seen via Samsung Kies firmware server. We have just spotted the firmware build version in Samsung Kies firmware repository. Once available in there you can update right now using Samsung's Kies 3 software update tool. You may also try to check the update manually via OTA update in your device settings.
Samsung support told users to prepare the following important notes to consider before performing the software update. I have also added some useful insights why you should follow this procedures to keep your phone in safe.
Recharge the phone – You should make sure your device is fully recharged before performing the software update. Do not also remove the battery during the software update is in progress.
