High-End Android Phones Powered with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

Some smartphones featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 have already been launched in China, with many expecting a global release shortly after. A growing list of flagship smartphones are expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which was officially announced in late September 2025. The chipset is anticipated to power top-tier Android devices throughout late 2025 and 2026, with several phones already confirmed or heavily rumored. Verizon Galaxy Note 5 OTA Update build N920VVRU2AOJ2, Brings Samsung Pay and Android security patches

Verizon has just rolled out an update on Samsung Galaxy Note 5 (SM-N920V) to which will now bump it recent Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) operating software version to N920VVRU2AOJ2. The latter mainly brings the Samsung pay application that will then enable the device to use the said mobile payment method. The update also includes the Android security patches to which basically address the recent Android vulnerabilities, according to Verizon.

In addition, there are also some several fixes, enhancements to features, and other improvements to some application that hasn't been mentioned in the summarized changelog details. According to Samsung support, the update were also equipped with fixes to the Wireless charging issues, an enhancements to Advanced calling, Multi Endpoint, and a lot more.

The paint chipping issue reported by some Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 users appears to be a recurring problem that was also seen with the Z Fold 6.
