High-End Android Phones Powered with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

Some smartphones featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 have already been launched in China, with many expecting a global release shortly after. A growing list of flagship smartphones are expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which was officially announced in late September 2025. The chipset is anticipated to power top-tier Android devices throughout late 2025 and 2026, with several phones already confirmed or heavily rumored. Xiaomi 17 series: The Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max were confirmed as the first phones to use this chip. Verizon Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge Enables Samsung Pay Update Now Available

As promised to Verizon Galaxy S6 (SM-G920V) and Galaxy  S6 edge (SM-G925V)  owners that they will get the Samsung Pay apps installed on their devices. It is now finally rolling ou bringing the said Samsung Pay to which the new recently launched mobile payment in the United States alone.  The update is still base in Android 5.1.1 Lollipop but will move the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S6 OS build version to G920VVRU4BOG9 from G920VVRU4BOG7. While on the other hand, the Verizon Galaxy S6 Edge will also bump up to build G925VVRU4BOG9.

In addition, the update also includes another Android security patches.  Both updates are now available via Over-The-Air (OTA) to which gradually release in stages. Once took the update, users will then be able to download the said Samsung Pay apps from Google Play Store. The rest is just to simply activate their own cards, but only from those select banks that have been tied-up with Samsung Pay.
