High-End Android Phones Powered with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

Some smartphones featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 have already been launched in China, with many expecting a global release shortly after. A growing list of flagship smartphones are expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which was officially announced in late September 2025. The chipset is anticipated to power top-tier Android devices throughout late 2025 and 2026, with several phones already confirmed or heavily rumored. Xiaomi 17 series: The Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max were confirmed as the first phones to use this chip. T-Mobile Galaxy Note5 Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow Update build N920TUVU2DPD1

T-Mobile has just started the released of the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update on Samsung Galaxy Note5 (SM-N920T) devices. The said update comes with software build version N920TUVU2DPD1 and it is now live via Over-The-Air (OTA) update as we speak. The Android M brings a much more improved User Interface (UI), and several featured enhancements. Aside from the Marshmallow goodies the update is also equipped with the newest security patches.

In addition, though the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow brought the same features across to all other US variants of Galaxy Note 5, but there is a little differences happened on T-Mobile's update. On  T-Mobile' update they have deleted the Facebook messenger, Instagram,  Whatsup functions for some reason. Furthermore, there might be some other downsides found during its testing period that may have caused the delayed for a quite bit longer than expected.

The N920TUVU2DPD1 6.0.1 update weighs at approximately 1367.14 MB in file size if you are going to update your device via Over-The-Air (OTA). While if you choose to update via Kies or Smart Switch for PC, it is roughly around 1890 MB.  The update were still  in phased release and it may take several days before it completely distributed to all T-Mobile Galaxy Note 5 devices.

How to Update the Galaxy Note 5 via Over-The-Air (OTA)


The Over The Air (OTA) update requires you to connect your Galaxy Note 5 to a Wi-Fi network to avoid high data charges. Ensure that your device battery is recharged before performing the software  update. The phone must not have been rooted or otherwise the update may fail or it may cause a fatal error. You must fully unroot your Galaxy Note5 first before performing the software update.
  • From the device Home screen, simply touch Apps.
  • Touch the Settings (gear icon).
  • Touch the System tab.
  • Touch About device.
  • Touch Software update.
  • Touch Check for updates. It will then prompts you to the new software update.
  • Lastly, touch the Install button, then OK.

Once the update has made, you must ensure to update all of your Apps via Playstore prior to worked properly. Some 3rd-party apps may not worked perfectly on Android Marshmallow that might caused the laggy effect.

The paint chipping issue reported by some Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 users appears to be a recurring problem that was also seen with the Z Fold 6.
