High-End Android Phones Powered with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

Some smartphones featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 have already been launched in China, with many expecting a global release shortly after. A growing list of flagship smartphones are expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which was officially announced in late September 2025. Galaxy S5 SM-G900F Update G900FXXS1CPHW Brings September Security Patch

The Samsung Galaxy S5 had been receiving the security patch updates in a monthly basis. This time around will cover the Galaxy S5  (SM-G900F) intentional version updates because some folks have had been asking "why are the're too many updates that brings nothing any changes at all". While some were also expecting that the new updates brings the Android 7.0 Nougat since it has been there around the corner.

Well, the message is clear the Samsung Galaxy S5 will never get the Android Nougat in the first place, and it will stay in Android 6.0 Marshmallow.  So we have to move on and accept the reality that this monthly updates we've received is just part of the monthly security maintenance provided by Google and Samsung.

The following are the new update for Galaxy S5 SM-G900F that contains the September Security Patch packaged.  These updates have been released within September 2016 and covered different countries across the globe.

This update goes in Middle East countries alone such as United Arab Emirates, Israel, and many more.  It is the same build version and covered both unlocked and carrier locked Galaxy S5 SM-G900F in the said region.

But so far, there are no reported incidents of exploitation and abuse from the said vulnerabilities, according to Android Security Bulletin. If you update the device from time to time, it will keep your personal data and files stored in the device more secure.
