Some smartphones featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 have already been launched in China, with many expecting a global release shortly after. A growing list of flagship smartphones are expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which was officially announced in late September 2025. The chipset is anticipated to power top-tier Android devices throughout late 2025 and 2026, with several phones already confirmed or heavily rumored. Galaxy S6 edge+ Update brings New Gallery, Cloud, and October Android security patch package

Each and every month Google had to release the Android security patch update for the Galaxy S6 edge+ and all newer Android devices. But somehow some specific models will receive it earlier while others came out late for a month long release of the said updates.

Here, we have gathered around each specific build version to exclusively and officially released  on the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ devices. Some of these were already posted some weeks ago,  this is only a recap for those who might have missed the update.

Some of these updates carries some new features on a specific Galaxy S6 edge+ models. The paint chipping issue reported by some Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 users appears to be a recurring problem that was also seen with the Z Fold 6.
