High-End Android Phones Powered with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

Some smartphones featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 have already been launched in China, with many expecting a global release shortly after. A growing list of flagship smartphones are expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which was officially announced in late September 2025. The chipset is anticipated to power top-tier Android devices throughout late 2025 and 2026, with several phones already confirmed or heavily rumored. Sprint Galaxy S5 Updates to version G900PVPS3CQB3, Brings February 2017Security Patches

Sprint has once again rolled out an OTA update for Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900P.  The update has bumped up to version G900PVPS3CQB3 from last few weeks update version G900PVPS3CQA2. As usual, the update does not brings any noticeable changes nor any adverse effect to the device as it is still part of the monthly Android security updates.  The latter will brings the February 2017 Android security patches prior to the previous version which also contains the January 2017 security patches.

Again, the G900PVPS3CQA2 update size only weighs at 27.3 MB to download either via  Over-The-Air (OTA) and or by using Kies/Smart Switch for PC. The rolls out is in phased basis, and it may take into several days before it will completely arrives on all Sprint Galaxy S5 owners.

However, if you haven’t received the notification message, you may manually check the update from time to time until it tells you that the new update is available for grab. Simply just tap on your Galaxy S5  Settings > About device > Software update > Check for update.


Also, keep in mind that you can only get the new update if your device has not been rooted and or currently running on a modified firmware.  You must unroot your device first before taking an OTA update so your device may not get into any issues.

The paint chipping issue reported by some Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 users appears to be a recurring problem that was also seen with the Z Fold 6.
