Verizon Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ has gotten an OTA update bumping it's Android OS to version G928VVRS3BQB1. The said update is still part of the monthly security maintenance to which contains the Android security patches for February 2017. So therefore, it's not the much awaited Android 7.0 Nougat update so far, and the device stayed in Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

This method is what we called Firmware Update Over-The-Air and so-called as FOTA or simply OTA update. In most often cases, a notification message will be directly sent out to you by your network provider and by Samsung itself, telling you that there is a new update that has now available for download. This approach requires you to prepare a strong WiFi connection, and so it might happen sometimes that one did not receive any software update notification messages; (1) If and when the device is out of range during the software update roll out period, (2) Automatic update has been turned off in the device Settings.
However, We can still manually check for the update instead.
