T-Mobile Galaxy S6, S6 edge, and S6 edge+ are getting the March 2017 Android security patch updates. These updates were still in Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow base, and not the much awaited Android 7.0 Nougat update yet.
Speaking of the Android 7.0 Nougat updates, it seems like it might be delayed for a while until the Galaxy S8 and S8+ launch this month. So the rolling out might begin for next couple of months.
Anyways, here goes the update's details of the said devices.
All of these updates were rolled out in phases. If you haven't received the OTA notification message yet just keep on eyeing by navigating thru in your device settings. From Home screen > tap on Apps > Settings > About device > Check for an Update.
Here’s how to do it:
It will then notify you that a new update is available for download. But it also says that “Your device software is up to date“, and there is no software update is yet available for grab. You can simply choose Install now if you do so or else Install later if you want to get the update in later time.
