Verizon has just released an update on Galaxy S6, S6 edge, and the S6 edge+. The update is said to bring the monthly Android security patches of which basically bumps up the said phones Android Security Patch Level to August 1, 2017. According to big red's announcements, the Over-The-Air updates will begin shortly on August 28, and might only last in just a couple of days, since these updates were just part of Samsung and Google's monthly Android Security Maintenance Release (SMR).
The Verizon Galaxy S6 (SM-G920V) variants will receive an update dubbed as version NRD90M.G920VVRS4DQH1. Similar thing happens to the Galaxy S6 edge (SM-G925V) of which will also move to version NRD90M.G925VVRS4DQH1. While on the other hand, the Galaxy S6 edge+ (SM-G928V) variant will also bump up to version NRD90M.G928VVRS3CQH1.

So if you've got a Verizon Galaxy S6, or a Galaxy S6 edge and a Galaxy S6 edge+ and yet haven’t received the said updates, just simply hit that software update in your device Settings > About Phone > Software info > Check for Updates. You may also use Verizon owned software upgrade assistant tool of which you can grab at Verizon support page to update your Galaxy S6, S6 edge and S6 edge+.
Ensure your battery is fully charged before starting the software update. This is a must and very important part to get rid of some issues if ever the software update being interrupted due to a power failure.
From the Home screen, tap the Menu Key > Settings > About device > Software updates > Check for Updates.
If your device finds a new software update, tap Download now. When complete, a screen will appear advising you that the new version of software is ready to be installed. Tap Install the update.
The device will power down and power back on. A screen will appear stating that the installation has been completed.
Tap OK.
