Canadian owners of the Galaxy S6, S6 edge, and the S6 edge+ has started receiving the monthly Android security updates. It is bundled and are still based in the recent Android 7.0 Nougat. But this time, the said updates includes the August 1, 2017 Android security patch level.
In addition, among all major Canadian carriers, Bell's Galaxy S6, S6 and the S6 edge+ support pages has now updated to show the information about the release. But other carriers such Telus, Rogers, and the rest might also have their own release schedules.
Again, only Bell has made an official announcement so far, while other carriers has also release their own statement to reflect the said update. So if you've got the galaxy S6, s6, edge and S6 edge+ but yet haven’t received the said updates, just make sure to hit your device Settings > About device > Check for Updates.
Ensure your battery is fully charged before starting the software update. This is a must and very important part to get rid of some issues if ever the software update being interrupted due to a power failure.
From the Home screen, tap the Menu Key > Settings > About device > Software updates > Check for Updates.
If your device finds a new software update, then simply grab it and install. When complete, a screen will appear advising you that the new version of software is ready to be installed. Tap Install the update. The device will power down and power back on. A screen will appear stating that the installation has been completed. Tap OK.

How to Update a Galaxy S6 and a S6 edge via Over-The-Air
