Just right around 10 days after the last update landed on T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, here comes another release build heading on its way. It's seems the updates is something very similar to the previous released as the latter will also brings various system improvements for the said device. Even though, this update is launch in the month of August, so we've speculated that this might be the August 2017 security update. But however, the update still covers the July 2017 Android security patches.
The new update for T-Mobile’s Galaxy S6 edge+ is version G928TUVU4EQG3. This release build includes the July 1, 2017 security patch level, like the previous update version G928TUVS4EQG1.
Here's the update details;
So if you’ve got a T-Mobile Galaxy S6 edge+ and haven’t yet gotten this update, you can manually check for a software update by going into Settings > About device> Check for an Update.
Ensure your battery is fully charged before starting the software update. This is a must and very important part to get rid of some issues if ever the software update being interrupted due to a power failure.
From the Home screen, tap the Menu Key > Settings > About device > Software updates > Check for Updates.
If your device finds a new software update, tap Download now. When complete, a screen will appear advising you that the new version of software is ready to be installed. Tap Install the update.
The device will power down and power back on. A screen will appear stating that the installation has been completed. Tap OK.
