Most of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Models Expected To Be Powered by Exynos 2600

  The speculation has been widespread. Some suggest that the Exynos 2600 application processor (AP), produced by Samsung Foundry using its 2nm GAA technology, will be the driving force behind the majority of the Samsung Galaxy S26 models, including the Galaxy S26 Ultra in certain regions. Previously, Samsung Foundry encountered challenges with the yield of its 3nm production, resulting in a shortage of Exynos 2500 APs for the Galaxy S25 series. The standard Samsung Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra models are all equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor. Verizon Galaxy S6 an S6 edge Receiving Updates that fixes ringback tone playback and July 2017 security patches

Verizon is sending out an update on Galaxy S6 (G920V) and the Galaxy S6 edge (G925V) that looks similarly to the Galaxy S6 edge+ SM-G928V update few weeks ago.  This time, there a bundle of some fixes that includes in the update. According to Verizon, this release version brings fixes ringback tone playback to non-Verizon Wireless phones, and applies the latest security patches. The security patches they mentioned is basically the June 1, 2017 Android security patch level.

Verizon has also updated their Galaxy S6 and S6 edge support pages to reflect the said updates. The rolling out were said to begin on August 11, and will run for a couple of weeks.

So if you’ve got a Verizon Galaxy S6 or an S6 edge, you can manually check for a software update by going into Settings > About device> Check for an Update.

How to Update a Verizon Galaxy S6 and S6 edge via Over-The-Air


Ensure your battery is fully charged before starting the software update. This is a must and very important part to get rid of some issues if ever the software update being interrupted due to a power failure.

From the Home screen, tap the Menu Key > Settings > About device > Software updates > Check for Updates.
If your device finds a new software update, tap Download now. When complete, a screen will appear advising you that the new version of software is ready to be installed. Tap Install the update.
The device will power down and power back on. A screen will appear stating that the installation has been completed. Tap OK.

You may also use Verizon owned software upgrade assistant tool of which you can grab at Verizon support page to update your Galaxy S6 and S6 edge.
