For everyone waiting on the release date of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is set to launch sometime between December 15 and December 25 in China, with whispers on Weibo suggesting a possible announcement on December 18.

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra camera system is expected to be a triple or quad camera setup, a potential shift from the predecessor's quad-camera system, co-engineered with Leica and potentially utilize sensors from OmniVision and Samsung.

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is also rumored to come with a 1-inch type main camera, which would make it the last flagship phone to have that feature. However, most reports suggest that it will ditch its secondary zoom camera for a single, enhanced zoom shooter.

Leaker Smart Pikachu claims that Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the Xiaomi 17 Ultra this month. This would be quite unexpected, as February has been the earliest release month for any previous "Ultra" model in the series. Allegedly, pre-orders for the Xiaomi 17 Ultra are set to start between December 15 and December 25, with whispers on Weibo suggesting a possible announcement on December 18.

For pricing, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is rumored to have a price tag mostly similar from the Xiaomi 15 Ultra.
