Huawei Pura 90 Pro Is Going Big In 2026: Could Pack A 6000mAh Battery

Huawei is going BIG in 2026! The Pura 90 could pack a 6000mAh battery, while the Pro jumps to a massive 6500mAh slimmer design, longer life. And the Pura 90 Ultra? Three RYYB cameras for insane color and detail across every shot!
A new rumor suggests that Huawei might power the Pura 90 Pro with an even bigger battery. With each new generation of Pura smartphones, Huawei has steadily increased battery capacity, and it looks like 2026 won’t be an exception. According to leaker FixedFocus, the Pura 90 Pro could pack a battery larger than 6000mAh. The standard Pura 90 is also expected to see an upgrade, with a 6000mAh cell, while the Pro model could come with a hefty 6500mAh battery, significantly bigger than previous generations.

Looking back at the Pura series’ battery evolution: the first Pura 70 launched with a 4900mAh battery, while its Pro variant had 5050mAh. This year’s Pura 80 models stepped things up to 5600mAh for the standard and 5700mAh for the Pro. It’s clear that Huawei consistently boosts the Pura line’s battery capacity each year, and the trend seems set to continue with the 2026 models.

The leaker also shared some design insights. Both Pura 90 models are expected to be slimmer than their predecessors, with the standard version around 7.9mm thick and the Pro measuring just 6.9mm. Until now, such large batteries were mostly found in Huawei’s Enjoy series, with this year’s first Air phone even featuring a 6500mAh pack.

On the camera front, the Huawei Pura 90 Ultra looks set to raise the bar for photography. FixedFocus reports that the phone could feature three RYYB camera sensors, offering richer colors and greater detail. Additional sensors, such as a depth or multispectral lens, may also be included, but the standout feature is the use of the RYYB color filter across all major imaging sensors.
