Apple's two failed iPhones in 2025

The interest in the iPhone 17 series is high, particularly for the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max models, which are outselling their predecessors. The iPhone Air has a different tale to tell; sales haven't been great, with reports showing low demand and major production cuts.  In contrast to the heavily publicized flop of the iPhone Air, there hasn't been much info on how the iPhone 16e is doing in sales. Early reports suggested it was doing pretty well, but it seems that wasn't up to Apple's standards.  Sales of the iPhone 16e and iPhone Air aren't meeting Apple's expectations, as per info from leaker Fixed Focus Digital (source in Chinese). While no exact figures were shared, the leaker suggests that Apple's effort to launch a popular, budget-friendly iPhone hasn't succeeded. Even with the challenges, Apple is still set to roll out successors for both models. The iPhone 17e is anticipated to launch on time in spring 2026, whereas the iPhone Air ...

The Complete Process on How to Root HTC One M7

This is the step by step procedure on how to root the HTC One as also formerly known as M7. This device is powered with quad-core 1.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor (APQ8064T), 2 GB of RAM, 32 or 64 GB of storage. The rooting process is as easy as it gets for advanced or experienced users like the most of us from XDA-developers but a bit risky on some part for beginners for this includes unlocking the bootloader, flashing recovery and then install the root image.

This root method is for the current HTC One OS version, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. Any future updates like Android 4.2.1 or 4.2.2 might get some changes and the possibilities that this root will not tend to work anymore.
HTC One
HTC One, HTC's flagship device for 2013. The device features a powerful quad-core 1.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor (APQ8064T), 2 GB of RAM, 32 or 64 GB of storage, 1080p Super LCD 3 display with 468 ppi, a 4 MP “Ultrapixel” camera with an f/2 lens and large pixels, and a 2300 mAh battery. All this is housed in a sleek, 9.3 mm all-aluminum enclosure that feels thin due to its tapered edges and sub-4 mm minimum thickness

Warning! Any Rooting process will void the warranty of your device. You can only retain it if you unroot or restore your device to it's original system settings.  Proceed with extra precautions.

HTC One: Unlock the Bootloader - (Step 1)

The HTC One is sold with locked bootloaders, this means that you can't easily modify it's system without unlocking it first. HTC officially allows users of the HTC One to unlock the bootloader from their support page.
Note: Unlocking bootloader doesn't mean unlocking the device to any network or SIM. Some users might think of it but it's absolutely wrong.

  • Go on http://www.htcdev.com and create yourself an account on HTCDEV.
  • Download these adb/fastboot files
  • Make a new folder on your C:/ drive called fastboot for example.
  • Extract the zip downloaded in step 2 to the new folder
  • Go Here http://www.htcdev.com/bootloader/ and select "All Other Supported Models" and "then begin unlock bootloader"
  • Yes, Tick both Boxes, Proceed
  • Skip up to step 8 as we have all we need for the first 7 steps
  • Power off your phone by holding the power button down for 10 seconds
  • Power your phone on by holding power and volume down
  • Highlight Fastboot With Volume+or- then press Power
  • Plug your phone into your PC and open a Command Prompt.
  • (windows XP - Click Start > Run > type CMD in box then press OK
  • (Windows 7 - Click Start > type CMD in search box then press Enter)
  • Change directory to your folder where we put fastboot files cd c:\fastboot
  • Type this into your command prompt window fastboot oem get_identifier_token
  • Select & copy the text as per step 9 on the HTCDev website
  • Paste your identifier token into the box at the bottom and submit
  • You Will Very Shortly Receive an email from HTCDev with a link to the second part of the instructions and your "Unlock_code.bin" attached
  • Download the "Unlock_code.bin" from the email and save it to the same folder that we extracted fastboot files to in step 2
  • Type this into your command prompt window fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin
  • The Display Will change on your phone, press Vol + to accept and power to confirm.

HTC One: Install CWM or TWRP Recovery - (Step 2)

Once you have an unlocked bootloader, you need to install a Custom recovery of your choice,
either ClockworkMod Team's CWM or the Team Win's TWRP recovery.
Download the recovery of your choice, CWM or TWRP.

Place the Recovery file you downloaded where the fastboot.exe is (Either in the location of your downloaded fastboot drivers or in the Android SDK directory)
Now open the cmd and navigate to the folder where the Recovery File is located or just open a cmd with shift and right click at the correct directory
Now type:

fastboot flash recovery name_of_the_recovery.img

For example:

fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.2.8-m7.img

Now your recovery is installed

HTC One: Root - (Step 3)

Now root your phone with SuperSU by Chainfire or SuperUser by koush
Download SuperSU or SuperUser from the links
Flash it with the Recovery:
Power off your device and then hold the VOL DOWN + Power to boot into the Bootloader
Navigate with VOL and Power to Recovery
Now flash the .zip:

- install zip from sdcard
- choose zip from sdcard
- select the downloaded SuperSU/SuperUser zip file and flash it
- Reboot now

That's all! You may now have a rooted HTC One.
