HTC One receives an update to software version 1.29.401.12 and its still based on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. This update will not bring an overall system changes but more on improvements to the HTC Zoe, camera, Beats Audio and the location service which already included from previous 1.28 OTA update.
This update is heading to all unlocked or SIM free HTC One in Europe countries and currently hitting UK owners. That said it will then take individual carriers a little more time to release their OTA updates as well as they're bound to be behind the official HTC release date by at least a couple of weeks perhaps.
To get this update users may only need to hit their HTC One devices Settings > About > Software updates. Those who might been expecting for the Android 4.2.2 it looks like you'll have to wait more.
