Some smartphones featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 have already been launched in China, with many expecting a global release shortly after. A growing list of flagship smartphones are expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which was officially announced in late September 2025. Those who might have been wondered if the AT&T's version of HTC One is blocked by HTC's bootloader unlocking tool, well here's a good news! Android Central told, that One of the lucky guy who get the HTC One ahead of its release period confirms this by posting some pics while hes into unlocking the bootloader process. The device is now also installed with international version of CWM recovery and has rooted.

The folks also emphasized that there are downsides of this unlock bootloader procedure, it will delete all data stored from the phone after unlock. Some apps were also removed such as the Calculator, Flashlight, Ringtone Trimmer and Sound Recorder and it will not able to receive any OS updates.
But for those who loves into tweaking their Android devices this isn't a bothering case anymore, for they already knows about it. This only means that the HTC One is looking forward for after-market developers interests.
