There is a quite new features of the latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update that has been included, one of these is called the 'Move Apps to SD' apps. These has been seen on Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 and all other devices that particularly running on 4.2 Jelly Bean OS. Moving apps to SD card is beneficial on some part, for it allows users freeing the on-board memory storage to a more larger extra space as possible. But keep in mind running an apps stored on external SD card is not that much really convincing to work well, some owners who used a class 10 micro SD card says its good enough to handle apps. The device speed performance will also improved if there are not too much heavy-load off apps stored in the internal memory.
So, if you owned a Android device that already updated or currently runs with Android 4.2 and/or 4.3 Jelly Bean, this feature must be already out there. This is hidden beneath your device settings and you need to manually activate it if you think of moving apps to SD card. Just make sure that you have an external micro SD card installed within your phone or tablet.
Please take note that not all apps are movable to the SD card. The Move apps to SD card only allows certain apps that are movable to SD card, this function will also show you all movable apps and which are not.
- From Menu button tap on Settings.
- Select More Tab.
- Select Storage Option (this will show a list of all movable apps on internal storage, the total & available size of - internal storage and SD card and also you can sort apps by Name, Date and Size Name, Package).
- Select Manage Application.
- Select an Apps that you want to move.
- Then simply hit the Move to SD card button.
Just repeat the process again and again if you have new apps that you wish to move from your phone's internal memory to your micro SD card.
