The interest in the iPhone 17 series is high, particularly for the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max models, which are outselling their predecessors. The iPhone Air has a different tale to tell; sales haven't been great, with reports showing low demand and major production cuts. In contrast to the heavily publicized flop of the iPhone Air, there hasn't been much info on how the iPhone 16e is doing in sales. Early reports suggested it was doing pretty well, but it seems that wasn't up to Apple's standards. Sales of the iPhone 16e and iPhone Air aren't meeting Apple's expectations, as per info from leaker Fixed Focus Digital (source in Chinese). While no exact figures were shared, the leaker suggests that Apple's effort to launch a popular, budget-friendly iPhone hasn't succeeded. AT&T Galaxy S5 (SM-G900A) is getting new Android 5.0 Lollipop update that will now bump up the build version to G900AUCU4BOF2. It only mentions that it brings performance and security enhancements, according to the initial changelog details.
The update file size is around 296MB which technically can tell us that it is just a minor OTA update but there be something on purpose the update may bring. Noting that AT&T already sent out the first Lollipop OTA update bringing several new stuff in it. So the latter might just a little bit optimization to the former released.
Here are the technical details of the G900AUCU4BOF2 5.0 update by navigating thru Apps > Settings > About device :
Android version: 5.0
Baseband version: G900AUCU4BOF2
Kernel version: 3.4.0-4432708
Build number: LRX21T.G900AUCU4BOF2
Looking at the firmware build details, the "kernel version" itself has stayed similar to the previous "G900AUCU3BOC4 5.0" update. Once the kernel version has stayed it's basically tells us that there is no any new visual differences and any adverse effect when it comes to the UI but might be some additional improvements to the device performance. Adding to that is the mentioned "security enhancements", which basically brings a new batch of patches to the OS for the security protection of the phone.
So make sure to check the update right now as it was already started rolling out via Over The Air. Of you haven't receive the notification message yet, just simply tap your phone's Settings>About device>Software update>Check for update.
