Below is the step by step procedure on how you can update your Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900W8 to the officially released build version G900W8VLU1COI4, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

How to Update Galaxy S5 G900W8 to 5.1.1 Lollipop via Over-The-Air (OTA)

This is usually how the carrier branded or locked Samsung Galaxy S5, performs a software update.  This method is Firmware Update through over the air or called as OTA update, which most often  a notification message will directly sent out to you from your network provider and notifies you that there is a new update available for download.  If you did not receive any notification messages you can manually check for the update instead.  Doing so you may only navigate on your Galaxy S5 SM-G900W8 Settings>>About Device, then tap Software Update.
  • Find “Software update”
  • Slide your finger down the display starting from the top edge of your mobile phone.
  • Tap the settings icon.
  • Tap About device.
  • Tap Software update.

It will automatically tell you that a new update is available or your software is up to date when there is none yet. You can simply tap install now when you want to perform an update or install later.

How to Get the Lollipop Update using Kies or Smart Switch for PC

The second method is a firmware update through Samsung Kies. You may head-over to your  local Samsung support page from where you can download Samsung Kies from there, and install it in your Windows or Mac computer. Choose the new Kies 3 which supports the Galaxy S5 SM-G900W8 and other Samsung devices running from Android KitKat, and up to Lollipop OS.  Once you installed Kies 3, all you need is to simply  connect your Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900W8 into the PC using the USB data cable, then simply run and follow Kies on-screen software update instruction.

Paint On Galaxy Z Fold7 Phones Is Already Peeling Off, According To Consumers

The paint chipping issue reported by some Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 users appears to be a recurring problem that was also seen with the Z Fold 6. Despite users claiming they have not dropped their devices, paint delamination is occurring on the anodized aluminum body. Samsung’s support page for the Z Fold 6 suggests that poorly grounded third-party chargers can cause leakage currents, damaging the anodized finish and leading to paint chipping. This is why Samsung advises using only official chargers. However, since at least one affected user on Reddit reported using an official 25W Samsung charger, it raises concerns that the problem might not be solely due to third-party chargers. It could indicate potential issues with Samsung’s paint application process or possibly that their chargers might not fully prevent this damage under certain conditions. Received the phone and been using for almost a week. Treated the phone like a baby but the paint seems to start peeling off (sort of) day by ...
