Verizon has just pushed an OTA update dubbed as build version MMB29M.G900VVRS2DPL1 on Samsung Galaxy S5 (SM-G900V). This method is Firmware Update through over the air or called as OTA update, which most often a notification message will directly send out to you from your network provider and notifies you that there is a new update available for download. If you did not receive any notification messages you can manually check for the update instead. Doing so you may only navigate on your Galaxy S5 SM-G900V Settings > System updates > Check for new system update.
It will automatically tells you that a new update is available. You can simply tap install now when you want to perform an update or install later.

Prior to "upgrading" to marshmallow, I was able to mirror my screen to my screen beam mini 2. Since getting marshmallow I can only mirror my screen to newer Samsung TVs. It's definitely a Verizon issue from what I've read. Apparently there is a fix but the phone needs to be rooted, Verizon does not like rooting so they keep putting out "security fixes" to prevent people from rooting. DON'T UPGRADE, ROOT AS SOON AS IT BECOMES AVAILABLE! The upgrades have made my phone less useful than when I bought it. This should be illegal!
ReplyDeleteSame here, the upgrade drains my battery
ReplyDeletesince this myself and another G5 user at work have had the same problem. our screen flickers and stutters as it shuts down. this also happens as it starts up. this is very very annoying. she actually gave p her phone because of it. I am not in the position to do so. I would really like to find a fix.
