Most of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Models Expected To Be Powered by Exynos 2600

  The speculation has been widespread. Some suggest that the Exynos 2600 application processor (AP), produced by Samsung Foundry using its 2nm GAA technology, will be the driving force behind the majority of the Samsung Galaxy S26 models, including the Galaxy S26 Ultra in certain regions. Previously, Samsung Foundry encountered challenges with the yield of its 3nm production, resulting in a shortage of Exynos 2500 APs for the Galaxy S25 series. Update on O2 Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge to build G920FXXU2COH4 & G925FXXU2COH4, offically released in UK and Germany

O2 network has also started rolling out the new 5.1.1 update on Galaxy S6 (SM-G920F) and S6 Edge (SM-G925F). The 5.1.1 update now bump up to build G920FXXU2COH4 on Galaxy S6 while the S6 Edge also got the build G925FXXU2COH4. Though the update is still gradually rolling out in Europe but O2 United Kingdom and O2 Germany are now taking the lead to unleashed the said update.  The  "U2COH4" update is now the 3rd Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update have ever been released on O2's Galaxy  S6 and S6 Edge alone.

The benefit of the update is still unclear as the update is still fresh, so we might perhaps add something any adverse effect and changes about it.  The update might also include some changes like the redesigned App icon and featured with Live broadcast, App Edge, Gear apps, and more. But one thing is certainly clear, the update can be seen via Smart Switch and might have been also rolled out via Over The Air (OTA) update right now or might arrive in the next few days. Below are the technicals details of both aforementioned 5.1.1 updates.

Both updates can be downloaded and installed via PC using Smart Switch but might also available wirelessly via Over The Air (OTA). The released is in stages and might take several days before the update arrives on some countries.

Update using via Over The Air (OTA)


Just ensure to recharge the battery for at least 50%. Also, backup your data using Smart Switch so you may not lose your data if somehow might go wrong during the updating process and forces you to perform a factory reset.

Here’s how to do it manually: 
  • From the Home screen tap on Apps.
  • Select the Settings gear icon.
  • Tap About device.
  • Tap Software update.
  • Tap Check for an update.

It will then notify you that a new update is available for download. But it also says that “Your device software is up to date“, and there is no software update is yet available for grab. You can simply choose Download and Install now if you do so or else Install later if you want to get the update in later time.

Update via Computer using Smart Switch

You have to choose the one that is specifically built for computer, depends on what you have either a PC or Mac.  Once you installed Smart Switch, all you need to do is to connect your Samsung Galaxy S6  / S6 Edge on your  computer using the supplied USB  cable.
  1. Open Smart Switch in your computer.
  2. Connect the Galaxy S6 Edge  into the computer using the supplied USB data cable.
  3. Smart Switch will automatically prompt you if the update is available. Just click on the “update” then the “OK”  button to begin updating your Galaxy S6 and or S6 Edge.

Once the update is made, you may now check the technicals details of the new update, from Home screen  simply touch the Settings gear icon and then tap About device.
