Galaxy S6, S6 edge and S6 edge+ October 2017 Android Security PatchUpdates

Galaxy S6, S6 edge, and S6 edge+ August 2017 Android Security UpdatesRolling Out in Europe

Samsung has started the rolling out the monthly Android security maintenance  on Galaxy S6 (SM-G920F), Galaxy S6 edge SM-G925F), and Galaxy S6 edge+ (SM-G928F) variants. This update includes the August 2017 Android security patches.  The released has now seen available in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Netherlands, and France,  and there's no doubt that it will also starts hitting the rest of the European regions in few days. The August 2017 security maintenance released has 50 patches for Android OS vulnerabilities and 12 for the Samsung's owned applications. Here the technical details of the updates, noting the released version may vary according to the device country of origin and or mobile network operator.

Europe Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and S6 Edge+ December Android Security Updates

Samsung has rolled an update for the international Galaxy S6 (SM-G920F),  and Galaxy S6 Edge (SM-G925F) during the holiday season. While later this week  the Galaxy S6 Edge+ (SM-G928F) also receives the same treatment. These updates brings the December Android security patches for the said devices, to which also includes  the device stability improvements and to boost its performance. Anyway, these updates are still in Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow base, and it's not the Android Nougat updates we've been waiting for.  The Nougat update for Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and S6 Edge+ might not arrive too early this year, just as long as we have to see it released on Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge beforehand.
