Galaxy S6 & S6 edge August 2017 Android Security Updates Roundup 08-31-2017

Here comes the end of August 2017, and September approaches too past.  That means another batch of the monthly Android security updates were making its rounds on the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge users all over the world. In this post, we are rounding up each particular Galaxy S6 and S6 edge variants that has received the said August 2017 Android Security Updates provided by Google and Samsung itself. Anyways, the August 2017 monthly Security Maintenance Release (SMR) includes 51  patches on Google Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE), and 12 patches on Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE). India's Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge Update build G920IDVU3DOL5, G925IDVU3DOL5, Brings Voice Call Improvements

Indian owners of the Galaxy S6 (SM-G920I) and Galaxy S6 Edge (SM-G925I) has gotten another Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update that brings some additional improvements to the Voice Call performance. In addition, it also includes the monthly security patch for the month of December to address the recent Android OS vulnerabilities. The update has moved the Galaxy S6 (SM-G920I) recent firmware build to G920IDVU3DOL5, while the Galaxy S6 Edge (SM-G925I) has bumped up to the build  number to G925IDVU3DOL5.
