August 2017 Android Security Updates Hitting Galaxy Note5 N920C/N920G

For those who owns the Galaxy Note5 particularly the SM-N920C and SM-N920G models, there's a new update heading on its way for your devices. These updates are still part of Samsung and Google's monthly Android Security Maintenance Release (SMR)  that will now bump up both Galaxy Note 5's Android Security Patch Level to August 1, 2017. In addition, the update will start to hit the Galaxy Note 5 SM-N920C in Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia. While similar thing will also happens to the Galaxy Note 5 SM-N920G owners in Latin America, and select regions in Asia. The rolling out starts on August 30, so make sure to keep an eye of this update of which will arrive shortly for a couple of days. August 2017 Android Security Updates Hitting Verizon Galaxy S6, S6 edge and S6 edge+

Verizon has just released an update on Galaxy S6, S6 edge, and the S6 edge+. The update is said to bring the monthly Android security patches of which basically bumps up the said phones Android Security Patch Level to August 1, 2017. According to big red's announcements, the Over-The-Air updates will begin shortly on August 28, and might only last in just a couple of days, since these updates were just part of Samsung and Google's monthly Android Security Maintenance Release (SMR). Galaxy Note5 Gets August 2017 Security Updates in Canada

An Over-The-Air (OTA) monthly Android Security Maintenance update is heading it way on Galaxy Note 5 in Canada. The update is said to bring the August 1, 2017 Android security patch level, while bumping the device recent Android 7.0 Nougat OS to version  N920W8VLS4CQH1. The August 2017 Android security update contains 50 patches for vulnerabilities found on Android OS. While Samsung also around 12 patches for their own application vulnerabilities. In addition, this update is now the 4th Android 7.0 Nougat landed on the Canadian variants of the Galaxy Note5. Canada's Galaxy S6, S6 edge and S6 edgeplus Receiving August 2017 Android Security Updates

Canadian owners of the Galaxy S6, S6 edge, and the S6 edge+ has started receiving the monthly Android security updates. It is bundled and are still based in the recent Android 7.0 Nougat.  But this time, the said updates includes the August 1, 2017 Android security patch level. In addition, among all major Canadian carriers, Bell's Galaxy S6, S6 and the S6 edge+ support pages has now updated to show the information about the release.  But other carriers such Telus, Rogers, and the rest might also have their own release schedules.

August 2017 Android Security Patches Pushed on AT&T Galaxy S6, S6 edge,S6 edge+, and S6 active

The monthly Android Security Patches are now making its rounds on AT&T Galaxy S6, S6 Active, S6 edge, and the Galaxy S6 edge+. Since we are now in late August, we've already expected that these will only bumped the said devices Android Security Patch Level to August 1, 2016. August 2017 Security Updates Hitting Galaxy S6 G920I and S6 edge G925I in Asia Regions

Owners of the Galaxy S6 (SM-G920I) and S6 edge (SM-G925I) are now started receiving monthly Android security maintenance in select regions in Asia. Samsung has started the rolling out the August 2017 Security Updates on the said Galaxy S6 variants. Galaxy S6, S6 edge, and S6 edge+ August 2017 Android Security UpdatesRolling Out in Europe

Samsung has started the rolling out the monthly Android security maintenance  on Galaxy S6 (SM-G920F), Galaxy S6 edge SM-G925F), and Galaxy S6 edge+ (SM-G928F) variants. This update includes the August 2017 Android security patches.  The released has now seen available in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Netherlands, and France,  and there's no doubt that it will also starts hitting the rest of the European regions in few days. The August 2017 security maintenance released has 50 patches for Android OS vulnerabilities and 12 for the Samsung's owned applications. Here the technical details of the updates, noting the released version may vary according to the device country of origin and or mobile network operator.

Sprint Galaxy S6, S6 edge and S6 edge+ July 2017 Security Updates

Verizon is sending out an update on Galaxy S6 (G920V) and the Galaxy S6 edge (G925V) that looks similarly to the Galaxy S6 edge+ SM-G928V update few weeks ago .  This time, there a bundle of some fixes that includes in the update. According to Verizon, this release version brings fixes ringback tone playback to non-Verizon Wireless phones, and applies the latest security patches. A month ago the Galaxy S6 SM-G920I and Galaxy S6 edge SM-G925I 4G LTE variant has received the June security updates. T-Mobile Galaxy S6 edge+ July Security Updates with Various systemimprovements
